Green Space Design

Consultation

I understand that you'll have specific ideas, needs, likes and dislikes for your dream garden and probably a bit of curiosity about other possibilities.

A visit can be arranged to your space at a time that's convenient for you.

  • Whilst analysing your site, we'll discuss your experiences with gardening, how you like to spend your free time, colours, and fragrances that you love.
  • The key is to find out how you envisage using your green space, considering your family, animal friends or other special needs, as well as your budget.
  • I would also explore whether you would prefer to be an active participant in the build (which could cut your costs) or leave it to our team.

A proposal will be put together, incorporating our combined ideas and approach within your target budget and an estimated time frame for build. You'll receive this within 5-7 business days of our meeting.

If you like what we've read so far, drop me a line in the space below and I will get in touch to have a chat about your garden ideas and next steps. (You're under no obligation to go ahead with a consultation).

If you do decide to go ahead with a Design Consultation, the fee is $100 per hour within the Melbourne Metro area. There may be an additional charge for outside the Metro area, but that could be discussed at the time of booking.

Let us get you inspired.

We'd love to help you transform your space into your garden of Eden, leave us your details and we'll be in touch.

Please continue to some information about the Concept Design phase.

Concept Plan

OK, so after we’ve met and you’ve had time to review the proposal and we’ve agreed on a high-level budget and your level of participation, I would need you to give me the go ahead to develop your Concept Plan.

What happens next?

Drawings that bring our combined vision of your green space to life would include:

  • A scaled project plan
  • The proposed materials & colour palette
  • Proposed flora and some example plant photos
  • Estimated project cost and payment plan

A digital version of your concept plan would be sent to you to review & if needed, we’ll discuss any amendments via phone or in person. Once we’ve made any required changes, the final version would be sent to you and that’s it for this stage.

If you’re still loving us, we’ll continue to the final Design and Build Plan.

Design and Build Plan

We’ve made it to the last stage of our design process which includes:

  • A Specification Plan detailing all hard and softscape elements and materials
  • A detailed Plant List
  • Setout Plans detailing elevations, measurements, water, power, lighting and drainage
  • Irrigation plan if required
  • Total Cost estimate

We’ll get together to review your Master Design and make any adjustments required. Once you’re happy, we’ll get them printed up for you and provide the digital files as well.

If certain hardscape elements like paths, concreting, a pergola or a wall are required, your Master design plan can be sent to the Landscape Builders we trust to provide you with a quote, or you can choose your own supplier.
